Graeme Rochester Front-end web developer

A few examples of my work

Beaverbrooks

Sole front-end developer of a major new feature that allows customers to create their own wedding ring in an interactive application, browsing and selecting the style, metal, width and size, and then adding to basket for purchase.

I was responsible for every aspect of the build, including the JSON data structure, naming conventions, unavailable configuration detection and automatic closest alternative selection, sharing and dynamic reconstruction of a pre-configured ring if returning via a link.

I am incredibly proud with how this piece of worked turned out and has been received.

Lakeland.co.uk

As principal front-end developer for the 2010 redesign and redevelopment of Lakeland's desktop website I was involved in every aspect of the project.

After launch I continued to be deeply involved in every major iteration and feature update to the core transactional pages of the desktop site, improvements and feature additions to the mobile site, and significant contributions to the marketing and promotional templates and content for the next five years.

The TARDIS

GatenbySanderson

I have been heavily involved in the ongoing development of GatenbySanderson's website, internal candidate management tools and client application and assessment microsites for nearly a decade.

Most recently I have undertaken a desktop-down responsive conversion of the existing GatenbySanderson site, and built a set of responsive templates to be used as the basis for their next generation of client microsites.

Ultimate product guides

A suite of stylish guides for ranges of products with plenty of informative content, video, and product visibility. The behaviours and effects used to present the content formed the basis of a 'toolkit' that could applied to any part of the site.

Dinosaurs!

A fun variation on a standard carousel that introduces layered depth and animation to each of the elements in the slide as they transition on and off the screen.
